Question 1

Do I have to buy the whole system at once?

Accepted Answer

No. Buoy TMS is modular. Most carriers start with the Dispatch Dashboard and Load Board or Document Capture and add modules when they earn it.

Question 2

Will my drivers and customers see a vendor name?

Accepted Answer

No. The system runs at your domain, with your logo, your colors and your load numbering. Your customers log into a portal that belongs to you.

Question 3

Does it work with QuickBooks and my ELD?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Integrations include two-way QuickBooks sync, ELD providers for hours and location, EDI through an established provider, and anything with an API.

Question 4

How long does it take to go live?

Accepted Answer

Most single modules go live in two to five weeks after a paid discovery week. You see a fixed price before anything is built.

Question 5

Is Buoy only for trucking companies?

Accepted Answer

No. Carriers run dispatch on Buoy TMS, freight brokers and warehouses give their customers a branded portal for live status and documents, warehouses and fulfillment operations run Buoy WMS, and 3PLs and 4PLs use the platform to see across carriers, warehouses and customers from one place.

Question 6

Is Buoy TMS built for intermodal and drayage?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every load carries container, chassis, seal, booking reference and last free day, with a full intermodal status workflow and last-free-day risk alerts.
